The first step in curing an addiction is admitting you have a problem. I AM ADDICTED TO ANTHROPOLOGIE. I have been for years! Every night, I kid you not, I get on their website to see what new items they have. Now, I know they don't add new items EVERYDAY but if there's nothing that strikes me as a new item the I automatically jump over to my wish lists. That's right, I had LISTS. I have multiple... in order of urgency. One being I cannot live without, might just die of excitement waiting for the items to arrive on my doorstep. Two, I have dreams about. Three, I would just like the items because they're adorable.... you get the idea!

Words can not express how happy I am when customers comment on how much our furniture looks like and resembles Anthropologie! It seems like everyday we have a new person say the exact same thing and still I get butterflies in my tummy!

Kiss Us, We're Green!

No, not "green" in the goofy holiday many Americans use as an excuse to drink themselves silly sense, but "green" in the Eco-friendly sense! We take furniture and give it a face lift therefore we are re-using, or re-purposing. The items we have in the store are funky and original, and you won't find them anywhere else. It's a great way to keep costs low and to help out mother nature as well!...

15 Minutes of Fame! Plus the Video!!

This morning I received a very surprising phone call from Liz Hogan, a reporter for KNWA! She said she was working on a story for today's five, six, and ten o'clock news about starting a business during a poor economy and she wanted to interview me at the store. I immediately got butterflies.

If you know me on any level you know that I'm not the best at getting words out of my mouth, let alone on camera!! I came to my senses and called Liz back. She said that she had a meeting with her producers and they suggested contacting me because they had seen our Grand Opening Event in this month's Celebrate Magazine. I was ecstatic!

I rushed to take a shower and make myself presentable (Mondays and Wednesdays are my full day of class days and i usually roll out of bed) and ran up to the store in an hour. Liz and her very nice camera man showed up ten minutes later and the rest is history!

Each cast (5, 6, and 10) were different and Liz gave me a shout out at the end of the 6 o'clock stating that she was impressed that I am a full time college student (18 hrs), and I have opened my own store, and I have several interior deign clients on the side! I appreciate that she recognized I'm a busy girl! You can read the article posted on KNWA's website here.
